These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website dflawconsulting.com and any related services provided by Delaney Foster Legal Consulting, LLC ("Delaney Foster"). By using this site you agree to these Terms.
Delaney Foster is a legal consulting firm. We are not a law firm, we do not employ licensed attorneys in the practice of law, and nothing on this website or provided through our services constitutes legal advice or the practice of law. When a matter requires legal representation, we refer clients to licensed counsel.
Consulting engagements begin only upon execution of a written engagement letter that specifies scope, deliverables, and fees. No client relationship is formed by browsing this site, submitting a contact form, or corresponding by email or phone.
All engagements are billed on a fixed-fee basis as specified in the engagement letter. Invoices are due within 15 days of receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Information you share with Delaney Foster during a consulting engagement is treated as confidential and used only for the purpose of the engagement. Because we are not a law firm, communications with us are not protected by attorney-client privilege.
The site and our services are provided "as is." We disclaim, to the fullest extent permitted by law, all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Delaney Foster shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the site. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of a consulting engagement shall not exceed the fees paid for that engagement.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Newport News, Virginia.
